Trade A Favor’s original prototype application for the Facebook platform was still going strong more than three years later. However, in December 2011 the core FBML code driving the application lost support by the ever-evolving Facebook developer platform.
We, along with our users, wish the original application were still operational. There was no better way to understand how people are going to use Trade A Favor in the future than by looking at how they used our proof of concept, and no better answer to “What kinds of things can I trade?” than the real answers given by our real users. If you had favors listed in our Facebook application, rest assured that your data will be available to you when we relaunch.
However, rather than rebuilding Trade A Favor for Facebook users alone, we are currently rewriting it as an application you can access here, an application that uses the power of Facebook and Twitter but doesn’t require you to belong to those networks. Please check out what we have planned next.
